Project description
Ed. Züblin AG has built a turnkey office and reception building for the sporting goods manufacturer adidas that is unique in its form and construction and covers an area of 50,000 square metres. Viewed from a distance, the cuboid built on an artificial hill almost looks as if it is floating. This is because the upper floors one to three were elevated approximately 13 metres above the ground using V-shaped supports in a special lifting process. The ground floor is an independent reinforced concrete structure consisting of columns, walls and ceiling. This structure is decoupled from the other storeys by a green and accessible overfill. Thanks to the generous glazing, the 2,000 employees at the company headquarters work in a bright and airy atmosphere – a graphically interesting sheet metal construction was chosen as the sun protection system.
