Project description
In the middle of the Elbe river, at the western tip of the harbour city, the new landmark of Hamburg stands out: the Elbphilharmonie. The dazzling glass structure rises up to 110 metres above the brick body of a former cocoa warehouse. The centrepiece of the impressive building is a world-class concert hall at a height of 50 metres with a total of 2,150 seats.
