Defect analyses with Microsoft Power BI – Business Intelligence for mydocma MM
For anyone using Microsoft Power BI: our universal interface tool, mydocma SH, automatically provides defect data from mydocma MM to Microsoft Power BI – for customised dashboards, insightful analyses and well-informed decisions.
Does your company use Microsoft Power BI? If so, get more out of your defect data: with our interface tool, mydocma SH, you can easily make data from our mydocma MM defect management system available for customised dashboards and insightful analyses.
How is the shortage data transferred from mydocma MM to Microsoft Power BI?
To begin with, the required dataset is made available in full on a one-off basis from mydocma MM via the Data API of our interface tool, mydocma SH. The data is then updated incrementally; in other words, during scheduled transfers, only new or modified records are transferred. This ensures that the Power BI analyses remain up to date without the need to transfer the entire dataset again with every update. The data will be made available at the agreed storage or handover location, from where it can then be further processed in Power BI.
What criteria can be used to analyse defect data?
The defect data provided by mydocma MM can be filtered, grouped, combined and compared in Power BI according to various criteria. For example, the number and distribution of defects, as well as their respective processing and completion statuses, can be clearly displayed, enabling specific questions to be answered in a targeted manner.

Possible evaluation criteria include, for example:
- Project
- Company or contractor
- Tenant or unit
- Trade
- Defect type and defect category
- Processing status
- Resolution process
Can defect data be linked to information from other systems?
The defect data provided can be merged with schedule, cost, tenant or project data from other systems to highlight cross-cutting relationships and potential areas for optimisation more quickly.
Who is helping you with the implementation?
We would be happy to advise you on selecting and providing the required data from our defects management system, mydocma MM.
