Project description
The new headquarters of rail network operator DB Netz AG is being built on the site of the former postal distribution centre directly next to Frankfurt’s main railway station as the first part of the development of the Grand Central district. It will house workplaces for around 2,200 people in two seven-storey office buildings, for which each building has an underground car park with two floors. Deutsche Bahn has already leased the premises for 20 years – after completion, the entire workforce will relocate from the trade fair centre to the Gallus district. The ensemble will meet the highest standards in terms of sustainability: The aim is to achieve the LEED Gold standard – an internationally recognised award for ecological construction.
