docma PIX 7.3. for even more clarity.
With the new detail section tool, optimised image report with detail sections and associated image references, you have everything at a glance
Imagine you are travelling as a tourist in beautiful Munich. You have two days and naturally want to explore as much as possible – not only the most important sights in the historic city centre, but also the surrounding area.
You have left your mobile phone at home as a precaution so that you finally have some peace and quiet. But you do want to find your way around. It’s a good thing that the Munich tourist information centre has a city map ready for you. Even better that it not only shows the surrounding area of Munich on an overview map, but also presents the most important streets in the city centre on a detailed map.
So you can find your way around in no time at all and have plenty of time to enjoy the city.
But what does this have to do with our docma PIX?
Just like the city of Munich, we have your needs in mind and have therefore created a feature in our new version that allows you to keep an overview just like the Munich city map. Regardless of whether you want to keep an eye on the big picture or the smallest detail.
Create detailed cut-outs with improved toolbox
In docma PIX, you have the option of assigning images to an overview plan using a pin. With a large number of such pins in one place, the plan can become cramped and clarity suffers if the pins overlap in the image report.
Of course, we didn’t want to let this happen and asked our development team for a creative solution to the problem.
In the toolbox, which we have expanded to include the coloured pencil tool and the highlighter, you will now also find a detail section tool. With this tool, you can easily create detail sections from a ‘parent image’ and create image references that you can later use as an option for the report output.
In the screenshots below you can see the new tool list with the detail section tool highlighted in purple and a detail section with a pin of a referenced image.
Report output optimised – details at a glance
In addition to the new editing option for detail sections in plans and images, a new report for outputting these detail sections with image references is now also available in docma PIX 7.3.
Using the extended output options, detail sections can be displayed on the parent image and output as separate images. This allows areas containing many pins to be displayed in more detail in the report. The parent screen is also clearer, as pins that are displayed in a detailed section do not appear on the parent screen.
The screenshots below show a sample image of the first and second page of the new, clearer and more detailed image report. This contains the created detail section with the corresponding image reference.
Even more clarity with our Navigator
The new docma PIX 7.3 version also includes the Navigator as a new feature so that you don’t lose the overview even at high zoom levels.
As soon as you activate the navigator and zoom in more on an image, the image appears in its original size at the left-hand edge. A red box shows you where you are in the image.
