Project description
In Düsseldorf’s Medienhafen, the Strabag SE subsidiary has realised a six-storey building with a striking kidney-shaped floor plan for the world’s largest hotel search portal. The headquarters of the high-tech giants Apple and Google in Silicon Valley served as inspiration for the new building, which has a futuristic appearance thanks to its curved façade and angled windows. It opens out onto the basin of the media harbour, creating a spacious campus. Around 26,000 square metres of office space are available to the approximately 2,000 employees. The headquarters is designed almost entirely in the form of open-plan offices, it has creatively designed rooms and kitchen areas and offers numerous activities sponsored by trivago – from bouldering and yoga to football.
